I don’t think that Kate is 5’11. William is around 6’2 and in her 3 inch wedding heels Kate is a few inches shorter than him. The same is true when she wears 4 or 5 inch heels. Michelle Obama (5’11) is quite a bit taller than Kate, as is Nicole Kidman (5’10), despite the fact that Kate was wearing huge heels at the BAFTA event. I imagine she’s around 5’8. People often look taller in photos/film than in real life.
Her wedges must be about 4 inches. William’s shoes give him a height boost of about an inch. If Kate was 5’11, she’d be around 6’3 - the same height as William, yet in this photo she only comes up to his ear.
I don’t know why being shorter is supposed to be a bad thing anyway. I love Kate’s height!
